Angelina Jolie first public words about her divorce
The 41-year-old actress confessed in an interview to BBC that it was a “very difficult time” but stressed that they will be a “forever” family that will overcome the situation and become stronger and remain united.
The statements were made before the screening of First They Killed My Father, a film directed by Angelina Jolie that addresses the subject of genocide in Cambodia. This was also her first public appearance since the divorce and she was accompanied by her six children.
It is recalled that Jolie filed the divorce petition in September, citing “irreconcilable differences.” The couple has been together since 2006 since their paths crossed on the set of the film Mr. and Mrs. Smith but they only got married in 2014.
