CYO Interview: glitterdarla
1. When did you first start designing CYO?
I started designing CYO not long after I came to this site from dressupchallenge in 2009. Although, I’ve been creating dolls and designing dresses/clothing as long as I can remember. As a child I made my own paper dolls, and before I even knew about photo editing programs I made pixel dolls on MS paint.
2. What made you start designing CYO?
It’s always been a creative outlet for me as well as a stress reliever. Plus I love being able to share my designs.
3. What is your favorite CYO piece that you have created?
That’s a tough one. I would have to say my Halloween exclusive are my favorite pieces to design.
4. What your biggest CYO accomplishment so far?
Hummm… a big accomplishment for me is making shoes from scratch that doesn’t look like rubbish! lol It’s way harder than it looks.
5. What is the best thing about designing CYO?
I think the best thing about designing is your creativity has no limits, also the satisfaction you get when a piece comes out just the way you envisioned it to be.
6. How long does it take you to create a CYO piece?
It would depend on the amount of detail… but I normally take about two to three days. I generally create something in about two to three hours… save it and then look at it again later with fresh eyes. I always seeing something I didn’t the first time around or think of something to add to a design once it’s had time to kinda marinate a little. Lol
7. Who is your favorite CYO designer?
My favorite designer has always been griffysgirl. Her designs give me life! She has impeccable style with a whimsical flair and top notch quality in everything she designs.
8. What’s one tip you can offer to new CYO designers?
As a designer and shopper I would just say have fun with it and let you imagination sore. Us shoppers will notice and love you for it.
