This is the story of Chesley Sullenberger, a man who became a hero after gliding his plane along the water in the Hudson River, saving all of the flight’s 155 crew members and passengers.
The idea is too good to be true, the mere notion of what Captain Chesley Suttenberger did on that particular day in January 2009. However, now due to pure movie magic, we are able to get a first hand glimpse of the terror, confusion, heroism and miracle that took place on the Hudson River. Sully is a monument of humble American professionalism, a tribute to a man and to a city, never overreaching and concentrating mostly on the immediate aftermath of the event.
Tom Hanks is simply amazing in this film. Just think about what it was like to have 35 seconds to make a snap decision that will affect the lives of 155 people. A must see movie!!
Director: Clint Eastwood
Stars: Tom Hanks, Aaron Eckhart, Laurie Linney
I highly recommend this movie. It showed how originally he was blamed for the crash in the Hudson, destroying an airplane and all their simulations proved him wrong. It appeared that the agencies involved only wanted blame but later, when he made them do the simulations using only 35 seconds, he proved them wrong! He is a hero. I loved this movie!
