Abercrombie & Fitch: No more “models”

If you have walked past an Abercrombie & Fitch, you anticipate the male models (you know, with the extremely pronounced abs). However, news has surfaced that this will no longer be the case!

The company has decided that their requirements of being hired will no longer be just limited to their physical appearance, and will have more freedom with how they choose to style themselves. In fact, these hires will no longer be referred to as models, but rather as “brand representatives.”

The entire change is an attempt to no longer sexualize their company’s image. This drastic change will require a lot of re-thinking to create their new image. Along with this change, they are also trying to maintain good customer service.

What do you think about this change? Do you think that their sales will continue to drop or will this help improve things? Do you shop there?
