British Fashion Awards 2015

The British Fashion Council has announced their nominations for the British Fashion Awards. This time around, Jonathan William Anderson, known as J.W Anderson, is officially dominating in women’s wear and men’s wear categories. In the women’s wear category, he will compete with Chritopher Kane and Victoria Beckham. However, in the men’s wear category this Irish designer will face Tom Ford and E. Tautz.

In the accessories category, there are three female designers: Charlotte Olympia, Tabitha Simmons, and of course, Sophia Webster. Aside from that, there will be category to appreciate the models, brands, creative campaigns, for new establishments. In addition, there is of course the special award, the BFC Outstanding Achievement Award.

As one of top fashion capitals, there are lots of young talents out there. They were all presented the Emerging Designer Award. This year, Thomas Tait won a LVMH Prize with Faustine Steinmetz and Molly Goddard. In men’s wear, there are Astrid Andersen, Grace Wales Bonner, and Mr. Hare. Furthermore, there is the Isabella Blow Award for a fashion creator.

What is particularly unique is that not every designer in the categories are having a runway show in London like Victoria Beckham. Well, either way, we hope it’s still a fair competition.
