Today I bring you a recipe that is really delicious. I don’t know if it is Portuguese or not, but we do it a lot here.
Ingredients:
1 chicken cut in small parts
1 package of french onion soup (Dry)
1 bottle of beer
Salt
2 carrots cut in cubes
1 big diced onion
2 sliced garlic cloves
3 soup spoons of tomato paste
1 chili pepper
Olive Oil
1 cup of sliced flat leaf parsley
1 bay leaf
Preparation:
-Cover the bottom of a pan with olive oil.
-Put the onion, bay leaf, parsley, chili pepper and the sliced garlic in and add an amount of salt of your choice.
-Put it on low heat and cover it until the onion is translucid.
-Add the chicken.
-Put it on medium heat and stir so the chicken won’t burn.
-Add the french onion soup mixture and stir until it’s all blended together.
-Add the beer in portions while stirring.
-Cover the pot.
-When the chicken is almost cooked, add the carrots cubes.
-Let it cook a bit more (5 minutes).
You can side it with french fries, white rice or spaghetti. Enjoy it!
It's a great recipe, easy to do, and really cheap.
