Clinton Defends Young Trump

Who better than the daughter of a former president, to know what the son of the current head of state may be feeling? It seems to have been exactly what Chelsea Clinton, daughter of Bill and Hillary Clinton, thought when she hastened to defend Barron, the youngest son of Donald Trump and Melania, of the criticism that he has been the target of in recent days. Barron is only ten years old and throughout the election campaign has repeatedly shown being tired or annoyed, an attitude that was repeated last Friday, January 20, during the inauguration of his father as the 45th president of the United States.

At the capital in Washington, when Trump made the first speech to the nation, Barron yawned at his mother’s side. On social network, the negative comments were not delayed and there were even those who compared the boy to the daughters of the Obama couple, Malia and Sasha, who always had an irreproachable behavior in public.

Chelsea Clinton did not like reading these comments and wrote on Facebook: “Barron Trump deserves the opportunity – like any other boy of his age – to be a child.” But Clinton’s daughter also left a message to the new head of state: “Defending children also means going against the measures of the American president that are not beneficial to the little ones.”

It has been recalled that Chelsea Clinton spent much of her childhood and adolescence in the White House and consequently under the spotlight of the media.

I love that Chelsea chose to see past the politics to have empathy and compassion for that child who has no choice in the situation. I really don’t like that people criticize the children of politicians.
