Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes

I am a true crime fanatic, listening to all the podcasts and watching all the documentaries I can get my hand on, so I jumped at the opportunity to watch another documentary on the charming yet depraved Ted Bundy.

Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes is a documentary series that premiered on Netflix at the end of January. This show is a 4-part series, created by Joe Berlinger, including interviews and footage of serial killer Ted Bundy and those affected by his actions.

I did enjoy this series, it did not only provide insight into how officers, attorneys, psychologists dealt with this killer, but it also presented a look into the psyche of one of the most worst serial killers in the history of the United States. It reminds us that pure evil can come in the form of an average man who seems like a nice, charming guy.

The only issue I had with this documentary is that it is nothing new in my mind. Any other, pre-existing podcast, documentary or book on Ted Bundy will provide most of the information the TV show offers. Although I guess with Netflix’s influence, more people may be able to find out information on this killer, who may not have watched this before.

Worth a watch whether or not you are a true crime fanatic like myself or a novice to the genre. Both can pick up a new fact or two about Ted Bundy!
