CYO Interview – R36
1. When did you first start designing CYO?
Wow, so long ago, lol! actually, when I a was kid, I really loved to draw clothes. I also liked to make funarts in Photoshop, and so one day I tried to draw clothes in it. after some years, when I was 17, I found out about DC and CYO. I was all so excited, and thought “oh, wow, it is what I tried to do years ago!” and I just fell in love with it.
2. What made you start designing CYO?
Well, I always had the love for fashion and loved drawing clothed. All my school notebooks are filled with those! And I also really love Photoshop. so, when I discovered DC, I was so happy. Actually, I start making CYO a day after I signed up to DC.
3. What is your favorite CYO piece that you have created?
I wish I could send the bundle I made and really loved, but It is not released yet.
Actually, I just really got improved since I joined the designing team. Everything else I made just looks not so good in compare for the bundles I recently made. And really, I must say a HUGE THANKS to the desing team for that, and especially to Pat (auntypat). She asked me to join the design team, and she always pushed me to get better and better, I really can’t thank her enough!
If I have to pick one that can be shown, It’s the latest collection in my shop. Actually, Pat really helped me with this one as well! I was also asked to join the design team after making it, and it is naming after one of my best friends, so this collection has a warm peace in my heart.
4. What your biggest CYO accomplishment so far?
well, absolutely making it into the design team and being a clothing and design moderator! It always was a dream of mine and I never believed I would be good enough for joining.
5. What is the best thing about designing CYO?
EVERYTHING! It is just so fun! I can just design for hours without noticing that a whole day just passed!
Of course, seeing that other people enjoy your designs is also one of the best things.
6. How long does it take you to create a CYO piece?
I actually don’t really know, as I written, I don’t notice the time. But a lot of time usually, at list a couple of hours for a dress.
7. Who is your favorite CYO designer?
I must say that ALL of the design team are the best! Each one is so good, in their own way for making cyo. As I said before, I learned so much from all of them! but, I must say that the two designers who really blow me away with their designs every single time are Amy (zumzy) and Pat (auntypat). They can make anything!
8. What’s one tip you can offer to new CYO designers?
Well, there are some. first, don’t ever give up! practice makes perfect. Second, try to open your horizons, and look for new ways for improving: new tutorials, asking help from other designers and learn from their critics, and joining CYO competitions. those are some of the things that really made me improved.
