Exciting discoveries with Pluto
There were some very exciting, out of this world (literally) news this week provided by NASA.
We were very fortunate to be able to see our former planet Pluto in very high quality images, allowing us to see the texture of the surface itself.
Scientists were surprised with their findings as they determined Pluto was still very much young, still yet to experience and go through drastic impacts to alter its smooth exterior. Another exciting revelation was the amount of water that was found on the planet in solid form. Along with Pluto, its moons were also photographed and analyzed, particularly Charon.
There has been a lot of information collected by this trip and scientists are still at work to process and understand all of it. It is said that it will take over a year to be able to get through everything. Although that may seem like a lot of time, it appears to be very promising, knowing how much more knowledgeable we will be by the end of it about the dwarf planet.
