Movie Review

I Feel Pretty

I Feel Pretty is a movie about a girl named Renee Bennett (Amy Schumer) being insecure about her body. She didn’t really feel good at all about her body. She started going to the gym to not only lose weight, but also to feel better and less self-conscious about her body. She would try to go shopping, however she would get body shamed by the seller and shop owners.

Of course Renee would feel worse after that experience. She is a huge fan of Lily LeClaire and her wish is to work in their Fifth Avenue headquarters. However she does not feel confident enough to apply for the receptionist position in the Fifth Avenue headquarters. Until an accident changes it all.

The accident not only changes Renee’s perception of herself, but it also gives her that boost of confidence that she needs. The accident caused Renee to see herself in a whole light. Like she changed bodies or something. For the first time ever she felt beautiful and confident. The twist? She didn’t really change anything. The change is all in her head.

This movie is hilarious. It’s filled with funny scenes. It’s an amazing movie and it shows the reality of nowadays. It shows how a lot of us see ourselves. We are either shy or just body conscious. Or we simply don’t have the confidence to go after what we want. The movie sends out a positive message. I would definitely recommend watching this movie.

Will Renee soon realize that she is and always was beautiful? Will this new confidence help her find love? Will her confidence last?

I guess you will just have to watch the movie to find out!
