CYO Interview

ITSMIK3Y!

1. When did you first start designing CYO?
I started designing CYO a couple years ago.

2. What made you start designing CYO?
I actually want to become a fashion designer. Fashion is a serious passion of mine and when DivaChix started CYO I was excited. Seeing some of the other members make designs come to live on photoshop gave me inspiration to start CYO myself.

3. What is your favorite CYO piece that you have created?
My favorite piece would have to be a dress I made titled ‘Liss’, found in my shop.
I sat down to create it and I was extremely determined to actually complete the dress.
It took a lot of patience to get it how I wanted but after a few hours of locked eyes on Photoshop, I was happy with what I created.

4. What your biggest CYO accomplishment so far?
Divamour 7. Although I didn’t do amazing in the competition, it gave me inspiration, and the practice I really needed. Although I did not complete the last round I did as much as I could. It taught me a lot and the judges comments really helped as well.

5. What is the best thing about designing CYO?
I would have to say the support. I love how everyone is so helpful when it comes to CYO. I’m not embarrassed to post something I know is ‘ugly’ because the members here help in every way possible.

6. How long does it take you to create a CYO piece?
I haven’t created much, but a simple dress can take up to 2 hours.
My ‘Liss’ dress took about 4-5 hours.

7. Who is your favorite CYO designer?
My favorite would be Hollyx. It’s sad that she isn’t around here like she used to be. I love her style. She had such a unique way with CYO that made it hers! I hope she comes back and I hope she has a lot fo CYO material!

8. What’s one tip you can offer to new CYO designers?
Be.. Patient!!! Patience is key! Do NOT give up! If you are in the middle of a piece, and you start thinking “this is going nowhere”… dont delete your work! Save it and walk away. Come back at another time, and finish it. Keep going with your piece. If you are stuck post in the C&C!
