Summer Watermelon Slush Ice
Sun is shinning! We need cooling down drinks to spice up our summer days. It’s super easy to make, and such a delicious result and of course watermelons are in peak season so it’s the perfect time to create this delicious drink.
3 cups of sweet watermelon, de-seeded
1 cup of ice
1 T of sugar (optional)
1 T of water (optional)
1. Start off with an extra ripe, sweet watermelon. They’re in peak season right now so take advantage of the sweetness and buy one to eat and one for slush.
2. Cut about 3 cups of watermelon into small chunks. It’s best to start with a seedless watermelon so you don’t have all the work of de-seeding it.
3. Squeeze a full lime in and add about a cup of ice, 1 T of sugar (if it’s really sweet you won’t need any sugar), and a T of water (if your blender is fancy you won’t even need the water)
4. Blend until smooth! Keep ice and water on hand if you need to add more to get the right slush consistency.
Enjoy your warm days with slushy ice drink!
